Manual Grading of Gerkins.....

This is the tenth day of production.  The production pattern is predicted to be in the form of inverted bell jar. It is estimated that the peak production will be from the third week to the sixth week.... When  after which the production will decline. In peak, the average production must be above 70kgs per day. 

 Simple but interesting mechanism of grading the Gerkins by their size and is  done manually by serving them

My experience with gerkins (Midi cucumber)  raising.

The representatives of a Gerkins company approached me to try raising Gerkins on half acre of my land with water facility.
The company  promised to provide me me seeds, fertilizers, expertise and guidance.

In turn we  have to provide timely labor for planting, weeding, fertilizer application and picking of the gerkins . Different prices are fixed for A, B, C and D quality that is to be produced. Marketing of the gerkins was the ultimate responsibility of the company.
Germination and establishment has occurred in 20days time .
Picking of the matured Gerkins has begun since the last 5 days .Progress is encouraging .Here are some pics to illustrate ...
